As India celebrates its 80th Independence Day, the upcoming patriotic drama Operation Safed Sagar is generating significant buzz for its emotional portrayal of the Kargil War and the lives of the families behind India’s military heroes.

One of the film’s most talked-about performances comes from actor Amrita Bagchi, who portrays Alka Ahuja, the wife of Kargil War hero Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja. The role shines a light on the untold sacrifices, emotional struggles, and resilience of military families whose stories often remain overshadowed by battlefield narratives.

Speaking about her experience on the film, Amrita had high praise for her co-star Siddharth, who essays the role of Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja.

“It was fantastic. I hope every actor gets to work with Sid once. He is such a generous person and actor,” Amrita shared during a recent interaction.

She further highlighted Siddharth’s grounded nature and collaborative approach on set, noting that he treats everyone equally regardless of experience or position.

“He does not believe in hierarchy. He makes everyone feel comfortable and valued,” she said.
