Sonam Kapoor once again proved why she remains one of India’s most celebrated fashion icons with a breathtaking ethnic ensemble at her cousin Anshula Kapoor’s pre-wedding prayer ceremony. Known for her impeccable sense of style, the actor embraced timeless elegance in a custom monochromatic anarkali created by designer Rishi Bansal’s label Itrh.
The outfit featured a beautifully crafted anarkali in crushed chanderi silk, paired with contemporary harem-style Patiala pants instead of the traditional churidar. Adding depth and grandeur to the look were two contrasting dupattas. One was a handcrafted chikankari dupatta adorned with delicate floral and foliage embroidery along with mirror work, while the other was a shimmering tissue drape enhanced with elegant ghungroo detailing. The layered styling gave the ensemble a regal and ceremonial appeal.
Her accessories elevated the overall look even further. Sonam wore an eye-catching statement necklace, matching earrings, and a ring from Rah Jewels. Complementing the outfit, she chose elegant heels from Fizzy Goblet.
The highlight of her appearance, however, was a unique embellished batwa designed in the shape of an elephant’s head. Named the Gajraj Batwa, the handcrafted accessory featured intricate polki detailing, transforming a traditional potli bag into an artistic statement piece that instantly drew attention.
Completing the look, Sonam opted for glamorous makeup with smoky kohl-lined eyes and glossy pink lips. Her centre-parted, naturally flowing hairstyle perfectly balanced the rich ethnic attire. The ensemble beautifully blended traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary styling, making Sonam Kapoor one of the standout fashion moments of the ongoing wedding celebrations.
