AGS Entertainment Backs Powerful Family Action Drama Blast Releasing Tomorrow

Aishwarya Kalpathi has opened up about what convinced Subash K Raj and the team at AGS Entertainment to bring their upcoming action drama Blast to the big screen. According to Aishwarya, the film’s fresh concept and emotional core immediately stood out when the narration first reached her through actor-filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan, under whom Subash had previously worked as an assistant director.

Aishwarya revealed that after hearing the pitch, she shared the script with Archana Kalpathi and producer Kalpathi S Aghoram, and the team quickly felt the project explored a space that Tamil cinema had not touched in recent times. Calling Blast “a family action story,” she explained that the movie carries a socially relevant message about standing up against injustice whenever people witness wrongdoing around them.

The producer also praised the film’s cast, stating that veteran actor Arjun Sarja was the perfect choice for the father’s role, while acclaimed actress Abhirami brought immense depth and versatility to her character. Actress Preity Mukhundhan also plays a significant role in the film.
