Bhumi Pednekar Revives Retro Floral Glamour In Lilac Ashdeen Sari

Actor Bhumi Pednekar has once again showcased her impeccable fashion sense, turning heads in a stunning lilac floral sari that celebrates the revival of vintage-inspired prints. The elegant ensemble was designed by renowned gara embroidery specialist Ashdeen Lilaowala and is part of his 2026 prêt collection, Roman Holiday.

Styled by fashion stylist Bidipto Das, Pednekar chose the eye-catching outfit for a baby shower celebration. The look featured the designer’s Claudia satin sari, adorned with graphic floral motifs inspired by bouquets of roses and spring blossoms. The soft lilac base, combined with nostalgic floral patterns, created a romantic aesthetic that reflected the growing popularity of retro-inspired fashion.

Adding further charm to the ensemble were delicate bow details embellished with bugle beads along the sari’s border. The actor paired the drape with the Minerva blouse, a structured bustier-style design featuring elegant straps and stylised acanthus leaf appliqués. The motif, often associated with Rococo architecture, is traditionally seen decorating ornate pillars and architectural elements, lending the outfit a sophisticated vintage touch.

Pednekar completed the look with a multi-layered pearl choker from jewellery label Anayah, perfectly complementing the sari’s old-world appeal. Her makeup echoed the outfit’s pastel palette, featuring soft lilac-toned eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, and a stone bindi. Textured waves cascading through her hair added a dreamy finish, making the entire look a modern interpretation of classic floral glamour and proving that retro prints are firmly back in fashion.
