Indian cinema is gearing up for one of its most ambitious cinematic spectacles as Ramayana has reportedly become the first Indian film project to involve more than 10,000 crew members from around the world. The mega-budget mythological epic, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is currently being hailed as a landmark production for the scale of its global collaboration and technical reach.
According to industry buzz, the film’s production has brought together technicians, VFX artists, action choreographers, costume designers, animation experts, and set engineers from several countries including India, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Thailand, and Canada. The makers are reportedly aiming to deliver a world-class cinematic adaptation of the ancient epic with cutting-edge visual storytelling and large-scale practical sets.
The project stars Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi is expected to portray Sita. Reports also suggest that several internationally acclaimed VFX studios and stunt teams have joined the production to ensure the film matches global fantasy franchises in terms of scale and presentation.
Trade analysts believe the massive workforce reflects the changing face of Indian cinema, where large-scale productions are increasingly relying on international expertise and advanced filmmaking technology.
