Sing Geetham Release Delayed, Musical Fantasy Arrives June 12

Veteran filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao is set to return to the big screen with his highly anticipated musical fantasy Sing Geetham. Backed by acclaimed filmmaker Nag Ashwin, the film was originally scheduled to release on June 11, 2026. However, the makers have now announced a slight change in plans, with the theatrical release postponed by one day to June 12, 2026.

The update was shared through the film’s official social media channels, where the team also confirmed that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded the movie a U certificate, making it suitable for audiences of all ages.

Sing Geetham follows the story of Prathap, a young man who arrives in the mysterious village of Kubera Puram seeking a better future. What begins as a journey of opportunity soon turns into an extraordinary adventure as he encounters a strange curse that compels villagers to communicate entirely through songs rather than spoken words. As he becomes entangled in the village’s magical reality, Prathap must navigate a conflict between modern thinking and age-old traditions.

Known for pushing creative boundaries throughout his career, Singeetham Srinivasa Rao once again embraces experimentation by presenting a narrative where every character expresses themselves through music. The film stars debutants Ayaan, Ahilya Bamroo, and Shalini Kondepudi in prominent roles, while the music and background score have been composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
