Actor Wamiqa Gabbi turned heads with her latest fashion appearance, showcasing a striking Banarasi lehenga that perfectly blended traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design elements. As the actress gears up for a busy 2026 with several film releases lined up, her recent outing has already become a talking point among fashion enthusiasts.
The outfit, designed by New Delhi-based couturier Liz Paul, featured a two-tiered metallic Banarasi tissue skirt adorned with shimmering paillettes that added movement and glamour to the ensemble. The lehenga’s rich texture and intricate detailing highlighted the timeless appeal of Banarasi craftsmanship while introducing a modern edge.
The statement blouse served as the centerpiece of the look. Designed with a sleeveless silhouette and a plunging neckline, the choli was decorated with delicate threadwork and colorful stone embellishments. What truly set the outfit apart, however, was the use of cowrie shells and oversized metallic sequins along the bustline, creating a bold and unconventional design statement.
Complementing the lehenga was a blush pink organza dupatta that added softness and elegance to the ensemble. Finished with beaded tassels along the borders, the dupatta balanced the outfit’s dramatic elements with a touch of femininity.
Celebrity stylist Devki Bhatt completed the look with luxurious jewelry, including a layered diamond necklace and floral-inspired polki and enamel earrings from Maya Sanghavi Jewels. For makeup, artist Coco Ballucci opted for a soft-glam aesthetic featuring rosy cheeks and lips, while hairstylist Forum Gotecha styled Wamiqa’s hair in a sleek center-parted bun.
The overall look offers fresh inspiration for bridesmaids and wedding guests seeking a blend of classic elegance and modern fashion-forward styling.
